Formerly a partner and portfolio manager at Weiss, Peck & Greer (WPG), Mr. Reach was the head of the Institutional Core Equity Group, the Research Department, and Chairman of the Stock Selection Committee. He served as a member of the Management Committee, the Investment Strategy Committee, and the Portfolio Review Committee. During his time at WPG, Richard developed a stock-selection methodology for the firm as well as an approach to help determine appropriate asset-allocation decisions for clients. He also created a program for using futures and options to control risk and to reduce transaction costs for portfolios. In addition, he formulated the firm's policy on key proxy issues to ensure that shareholders' interests were protected and advanced.

Prior to joining WPG, Mr. Reach was a vice president, portfolio manager, and research analyst at J.P. Morgan Investment Management and Forstmann-Leff Associates. While at J.P. Morgan, he managed about $600 million in assets, and at Forstmann-Leff he oversaw approximately $500 million in investments. At both organizations he initiated and developed a futures and options program to hedge portfolios. Richard, who has over 35 years of professional investment experience, has a B.A. degree from Brown University and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia University Business School, where he double majored in accounting and finance. During his second year at Columbia, he served as a teaching assistant in accounting.
